Since I've started my leaning down nutrition plan, I gave up the Fage/Clif Builder bar for my mid morning snack at work. Instead I am now eating egg whites and oatmeal. The problem is that egg whites are kind of nasty when you have reheat them. They're nasty tasting and nasty smelling to those around you. So instead of making them separately, I'm blending all my ingredients together and making pancakes out of them. They're easier to transport, tastier, and don't smell bad to the coworkers around me.
The recipe:
-
1 cup - Old Fashioned Oatmeal
-
1 cup - egg whites
-
1 whole egg
-
Fruit - strawberries and blueberries for me
-
1 serving cottage cheese (you won't notice it)
-
Cinnamon
Blend that together, then put over medium heat until they're pancakes.

Obviously you can throw more/less ingredients in there, such as bananas and apples for various fruits. I like to keep my sugar content to a low while leaning out, so that'll be most the sugar I eat all day. This also makes for a great mass building meal.
