Keith "Sweatin" Ehlis

First off, let me tell you I’m not a personal trainer. I’ve never taken a personal training exam in my life. To be honest though, I’ve probably read more material and trained longer than A LOT of personal trainers out there today. Not to say there aren’t some great personal trainers out there, whether it be a gym or their own business. In fact a few friends of mine are personal trainers and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to someone who wants to get in shape. Then there are the trainers at the gyms who have their clients just do ridiculous stuff that’ll probably result in injury or a waste of time and money. A lot of times a trainer can just be someone who’s there, but taking your money and not giving you much in return. You could instead just do everything without their assistance and save yourself $500+, which is one reason I started this site.

So why else did I start this site? I started this site because of my love for working out and eating right. My junior year of high school I started working out consistently while taking whey protein and started seeing results that drove me to continue. Since then I’ve continued to lift for the past about eight years now and eat a healthy diet, not the typical wake up, eat cereal, eat fast food, then eat crap when you get home diet that so many Americans do. Since starting, I've gone from 175 lbs to about 210+ lbs.

I’ve tried various diets – low carb, no carb, etc. - and different workout techniques. I love to experiment when it comes to nutrition, lifting, and supplements. This site will help me document my results and experiences and pass them on to others. One of my hopes for this site is to motivate others to work out and eat right. Whether it be to attract the opposite sex, get in shape for a loved one, get in better shape for a sport (which is why I started), or the real goal of just taking care of your body.

As for me calling myself "Sweatin" - that's just a self given nickname. It's also my Twitter handle @KeithSweatin. Has to do with my love for Keith Sweat and then the whole working out and sweating thing.
